Rehman Malik predicts bloodshed in country

KARACHI- Veteran politician and former interior minister, Rehman Malik, said that the protests were political right of Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri, otherwise ‘bloodshed will occur in every street of Punjab.’

Rehman Malik, while addressing press conference on Karachi airport, urged the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) government to initiate moves with seriousness amid severe political crisis.

Malik said that all streets of Punjab will exhibit bloodshed pictures if state power will be used against political opponents.

Former interior minister said that PPP would play its role for continuation of democratic system in Pakistan, but government should also prove sincerity via sensible and responsible moves.

Rehman said, ‘What will happen at last if Imran Khan lodged protests, expect his one or two days stay in Islamabad?’ He also demanded to provide free-hand to Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri. He also advised PTI, PAT chiefs to order their workers to remain peaceful.
