Seven die as van rams into trolley

MUZAFFARGARH - At least seven passengers died and another 15 injured when a speeding Muzaffargarh-bound passenger van, rammed into a sugarcane-laden trolley parked along road here on Thursday morning. The van was coming from Layyah City. The Deceased passengers were identified as two real sisters - Zartasha, Sonia, a Police sub-inspector Muhammad Arif, Muhammad Nasir, Mujahid Ali and two unidentified persons. The injured were referred to Nishtar Hospital Multan as the condition of four passengers is stated to be precarious. Police said that 22 passengers were on board the van against the capacity of 15 including driver with the criminal connivance of traffic police. Muzaffargarh DPO Rao Munir Ahmed Zia said, the mishap occurred due to reckless driving in foggy season which caused the death of seven people. Woman raped in Okara: A married woman was raped here. Resident of village Dilbagh 'S went to see Shabiran, her neighbour, but she was not at home. In Bashirans absence, her husband allegedly raped her on gunpoint.
