WARBURTON - Disability is not a curse but begging is, says a physically-handicapped grade-five student who could write with a pen in his mouth. Being conducted under the Punjab Examination Commission, Lahore, Ahmad Ali is taking the class-5 papers at an examination centre in the Government High School Warburton City. Born in Bhagtera, Ali is without arms but his disability could never discomfit his interest in education. His writing is far better than those writing with hands. Ali has a great potential and often loves to do his work without anyone’s help. He could iron clothes, play football, take bath using shampoo, take meal. His father, Ashraf, works as a lineman with the Lesco’s Warburton franchise. Ashraf is ambitious to see his son reaching the pinnacle. He has requested CM Shahbaz Sharif to help them for special treatment (transplantation of pseudo arms) of his son whether inside country or abroad. On the directions of Tariq Rafiq, executive district officer (Education) Nankana Sahib, Javed Ashraf Shooka, senior headmaster Govt High School Warburton City, took it as a special case and engaged an EST teacher to teach the boy separately from dawn to dusk.
