HAFIZABAD - A number of students are facing hardships in getting admission and stipends because of the errors in their computerised national identity cards issued by the NADRA.
The students have been protesting against the alleged negligence of NADRA officials as their CNICs did not carry exact details provided by them in the data forms. They said that even their names were not spelled correctly in the CNICs due to which their future was at stake.
When contacted, local NADRA authorities said they sent the data forms to the head office and the mistakes were committed by the authority’s Islamabad computer section.
The affected students have appealed to the NADRA chief and interior minister to order for issuance of new CNICs with exact particulars.
