QUETTA - Three people including an Afghan national suffering from Congo virus have been admitted to hospital in Quetta here on Tuesday. Three patients, including Abdul Rehman and Abdullah, resident of Goharabad in the suburb of Quetta and Muhammad Ghani an Afghan national were admitted to the Fatima Jinnah Hospital in Quetta. Talking to the newsmen, Dr. Adnan Khan Nasir, confirmed that the patients contain symptoms of Congo virus and ,added, that patients were admitted in a special isolation ward and were receiving treatment. He further said that the blood samples of the patients have been sought and would be sent to Islamabad for clinical tests. The family sources disclose to this scribe that, two persons namely Abdul Qadir and Muhammad Nabi who died on Tuesday at their homes without getting medical aid. They said that the blood were oozing out from their body holes including the mouth and nose and family suspected that two of their relatives Abdul Rehman and Abdullah also fell victim to the fatal disease for being close to the deceased. The sources further said that they were immediately shifted to the hospital suspecting them for having Congo virus. The sources said that deceased Abdul Qadir and Muhammad Nabi were traders and dealing in supplying cows and buffaloes to Iran and suspected they got the virus from the cattle. They said that a girl namely, Razia Bibi, 16, who lived in the neighbourhood of victims is also being suspected of having same virus and has also been admitted to Civil Hospital.
