ISLAMABAD- Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said fifty five billion rupees have been allocated for the construction of Diamer Bhasha dam in the next financial year.

Speaking at a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Finance in Islamabad today, he said the federal government has granted subsidy of billions of rupees to the electricity consumers during the last five years. He said that provinces were authorized to generate electricity on their own.
