12 injured as rockets fired into Peshawar

PESHAWAR - At least 12 persons were injured when militants fired five rockets from Khyber Agency into Hayatabad Phase 6 area of Peshawar on Tuesday.
Police said that out of the total six rockets, two of the rockets fell near houses in a street and two landed in a empty plot on street 17. The rockets also hit a house in sector nine which resulted in injuries to seven persons including a woman.
The attack caused fear and panic among the residents while windowpanes of nearby houses also fell on several persons.
One rocket also hit a vehicle injuring a person whereas six others pedestrians were also injured. Police said that 12 persons including two women were injured in the repeated rocket attacks which caused terror in various streets of Phase 6.
The injured persons were shifted to Hayatabad Medical Complex for emergency medical treatment where the condition of all the injured was reported to be out of danger.
