MANDI BAHAUDDIN - The PML-N faces tough infighting before the elections as a large number of self-proclaimed party candidates have submitted nominations and also trade allegations.
More than, 75 self-proclaimed PML-N candidates filed nomination papers for both the national and provincial assemblies seats in the district and are in the race to surpass their rivals for getting party ticket.
Scrutiny of nomination papers submitted by candidates from NA-108, PP-116 and PP-117 continued here the other day. No electronic media person was allowed inside the scrutiny room and tight security measures were adopted outside the room.
A PML-N candidate Ghulam Ali Sahi for NA-108 filed objection against his party man Ijaz Chaudhry for holding a fake BA degree.
However, Returning Officer Qamar Zaman rejected his objection after verification and accepted the nomination papers. Similarly, one contractor Arshad also filed objection against PML-N Devan Mushtaq from PP-116 for not paying his outstanding dues of a contract. This objection was also rejected for lack of proof and his nomination papers were accepted.
The PTI is also facing same problems as no consensus could be reached for the candidates from various constituencies of the district.
