HAFIZABAD - An 8th class student of Jharianwala village was knocked down and killed by recklessly driven tractor-trolley on Vanike Road here on Thursday. As per detail, the deceased, Abu Bakar, was going to examination centre to take paper when a sand-laden tractor-trolley hit him. He died on the spot. The villagers blocked the traffic by burning tyres in protest against the killing of the student. The police impounded the tractor-trolley and unloaded the sand at the City Police Station premises to utilise it in the construction being executed at the PS. The City Police have registered a case against the driver Arshad.
