Public trust on KPK Chief Minister Complaint Cell rises

PESHAWAR - Actions on the timely redressal of public complaints being received in the Complaints and Redressal Cell (C&RC) at the Chief Minister Secretariat Peshawar are in full swing.
Similarly people from different walks of life especially the complainants have highly appreciated the performance of the cell through their telephone calls, emails and letters. They have termed the establishment of the cell as a good step of the present provincial government and highly beneficial for the timely solution of public issues saying that they could get their issues solved through a simple telephones call to the cell by sitting at home.
According to a press release of the Cell issued here on Sunday, a large number of people from various walks of life registered hundreds of complaints of personal and collective nature which the Cell took up with the concerned departments and directed the authorities for immediate steps to redress it; and as a result all those complaints were disposed off accordingly.
According to details, a resident of Bannu, Faheemullah, registered a complaint against an alleged corrupt official of Bannu Development Authority, which was referred to the highups of BDA with the directives for necessary action.
Accordingly, a legal action was taken against the official and the bills and security amount of the complainant were released.
Similarly, one Muhammad Nawaz of Abbottabad made a complaint of over-billing by PESCO. The matter was forwarded to PESCO Abbottabad Division for investigation and subsequently the PESCO office submitted report to the cell that excessive units were wrongly sent to the consumer and the excessive amount was thus refunded to him.
Khial Bibi of Mardan also complained that her husband was killed in a bomb blast and she was not being paid the compensation announced by the provincial government.
The matter was forwarded to the Commissioner Mardan Division and the compensation amount was paid to the widow. Likewise, a number of other complaints were received in the cell and all of them were redressed well in time.
