KHANEWAL - DPO Dr Muhammad Waqar Abbasi has terminated former SHO Inspector Sheikh Haider from service and also suspended Mian Channu Police SHO inspector Mehar Wasim Sial and ASI on charges of negligence and corruption.
According to DPO WaqarAbbasi, former SHO/ inspector was suspended from the last few months and upon completion of the departmental inquired which established the charges of negligence of duty and corruption, he was terminated from service from immediate effect. The DPO also disclosed that he had also taken notice of the Mian Channu Police torture on a young man in the public and suspended SHO Inspector Mehar Wasim and ASI Malik Rashid Ahmad in this regard.
Waqar Abbasi stressed that no one was over and above the law, each and every policeman had to follow the rule and regulation.
No one will be allowed to torture and misbehave with the innocent people,” the DPO elaborated and added that it was the prime responsibility of the police to provide shelter and relief to the masses.
