Fazlullah sacks Sajna as SWA chief

PESHAWAR - Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Mullah Fazlullah has sacked Khan Said alias Sajna as chief of South Waziristan Agency.
Umar Khurasani, after removal of Said Sajna, has been asked by Mullah Fazlullah to take command of both North and South Waziristan Agencies. However, TTP has not confirmed both these developments so far. In this regard, Hakeemullah Mehsud’s group spokesman Daud Mehsud has reportedly said that after sacking Sajna, the TTP’s deputy ameer Shaikh Khalid Haqqani had been nominated as TTP’s ameer for South Waziristan Agency, while Umar Khurasani had been appointed as ameer TTP North Waziristan Agency.
As per reports, Daud said they would respect the decision made by the TTP central Ameer Mullah Fazlullah. Khan Said alias Sajna Mehsud, also known as Khalid Sajna, is a senior commander of Taliban. He was heading South Waziristan chapter of TTP. The 37-year-old Khan Said belongs to the Shabikhel clan of the Mehsud tribe. He is a resident of Dwa Toi village in South Waziristan. No reason has been cited for removal of Khan Said. However, Khan Said Sajna and Shahriyar Mesud group have been fighting with each other for the last two months.
The TTP leadership has intervened time and again to stop the infighting however the clashes continued resulted in killing of militants from both the sides. The fighting between these groups is for getting the control of South Waziristan Agency inhabited by Mehsud tribe.
