Nisar directs tight security for PTI rally

ISLAMABAD  - Ministry of interior has directed Islamabad Capital Territory administration to use walkthrough gates, sniffing dogs and CCTV cameras to provide security to the protest rally of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) being held tomorrow (Sunday).
In this connection, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan chaired a high-level meeting of Islamabad and Rawalpindi administration to review the security arrangements being made for the public gathering taking place in Islamabad on 11th May. Commissioner Rawalpindi, IGP Islamabad, deputy commissioner Islamabad and other senior officers gave briefing to the minister, informing him about the deployment of security personnel, traffic diversion plan and arrangements for the media.
The minister directed that walkthrough gates, sniffing dogs and CCTV cameras would be employed to provide security to the rally and the citizens of Islamabad. He also directed that all steps should be taken to ensure complete security to the participants of the gathering. He said that all vehicles carrying weapons or infants in them would not be allowed to enter.

He also directed the Islamabad administration to ensure payments to the owners of containers that are to be used for the security of Red Zone.
Nisar said that instructions should be properly advertised to inform the general public about the road blockades and traffic diversions to facilitate the residents of the twin cities. The minister called for close coordination between Islamabad and Rawalpindi administration in this regard.
