Police issue code of conduct for Muharram

 JHANG - It is the religious and moral duty of every Muslim to maintain peace and brotherhood during the scared month of Muharramul Harram. All traditional license-holders processions and other rallies will allow during the Muharram but organizers are bound to inform the district administration before taking out processions. DPO Akhtar Umer Hayat Lalika said while addressing a meeting here the other day. District Peace Committee members, Tazia License holders and Zoljinah Anjeman, all members of CPLC and all SDPOs attended the meeting. The DPO said that a code of conducted had been issued for all participants of processions and other peoples. He stressed on the Mjalis organisers to arrange procession in the walled area for security point of view. He said that unfair use of loudspeakers was strictly banned and violators would be dealt strictly. No one will be allowed to ruin the peace of region, he warned.  The DPO said that police were making all-out efforts to provide security to people. He said that religious harmony was the need of the hour to resolve all the problems faced by people. He appealed to the Ulema to avoid furious speeches and preach tolerance and patience to promote harmony, brotherhood, unity and peace.
