Ten persons including two women and three minors were killed and six others injured in separate incidents of enmity, honour killing and mishaps over the past 24 hours.
According to details, an enraged man murdered a woman and her minor daughter to punish her son for developing illicit relations with his wife here in village Bharokey Kalan the other day.
According to the details, Muhammad Afzal’s wife Salma Bibi had developed illicit relations with neighbour Muhammad Azam’s elder son Luqman and she had eloped with him twice.
A few days ago, she returned home and sought divorce from her husband to marry with her paramour Luqman. Which infuriated Afzal and he allegedly killed Luqman’s mother 35-year-old Sajida Bibi and his infant sister Amina with repeated attacks of sharp-edged knive while asleep in their house. Some people saw him while killing both mother and her daughter.
The Daska Saddr Police have registered a case against the accused and shifted the dead bodies to Civil Hospital for autopsy.
Similarly in Mandi Bahauddin, a person died of snake bite. Reportedly one Ijaz, about 20-year-old, a resident of Dogul, a suburban village of Phalia, was bitten by snake, the other night.
His condition turned precarious and he was moved to THQ Hospital Phalia but he was not treated there. The family took him to Aziz Bhutti Shaheed Hospital Gujrat where he died before the doctor could give him medical treatment.
In Sheikhupura, a Class 10th girl student identified as Allah Rakhi was killed when a gun went off accidentally in Bilal Colony here on Monday. The deceased’s brother Amjad was cleaning his gun when it went off accidentally. Resultantly a bullet hit the girl in the chest while sitting near his brother. She was shifted to nearby hospital where doctors pronounced her dead. The Muridke City Police handed over the body to the family after legal procedure.
In HAFIZABAD, two villagers were shot dead at two different places over old enmity here the other night.
According to police source, Manzoor Hussain, a cultivator of Behek Ahmad Yar was on the way to his house from his dera the night when his rivals opened indiscriminate firing on him, killing him on the spot.
Reportedly he had enmity with some of his relatives over a piece of agricultural land. However, it could not be known who had killed him. The dead body was sent to morgue for autopsy. The police are investigating.
Another landlord Muhammad Aslam of Kolo Tarar was also shot dead by his rivals the other night. The accused were lying in ambush in the field on the way and when he reached near them they made indiscriminate firing killing him on the spot.
The deceased had a dispute with some landlords of the area over distribution of agricultural land.
The dead body was sent to city morgue for autopsy.
Meanwhile, GUJRANWALA, 25-year-old Mohsin, a resident of Akram Colony was busy working in his factory when he suffered severe electric shocks and died instantly.
In another incident which occurred in Shabbir Colony two-year-old Abdul Hadi, son of Adnan Hussain died of snake bite in his house. Whereas Allah Rakha, a resident of Muridke was going to Gujranwala with his wife and daughter when they reached near Awan Chowk a speeding truck ran over them. Resultantly two-year-old Komal died on the spot while Allah Rakha and his wife sustained injuries. The injured were rushed to DHQ Hospital.
In Toba Tek Singh, a speeding mini truck overturned and fell over a moving car. As a result car driver Sultan died on the spot while four others Fayaz, Subhan, Talha and Ahmad were injured and were shifted to DHQ Hospital in critical condition.
PO arrested: Police have arrested a proclaimed offender who had killed his father in-law. As per details, Jand Police SHO Malik Muhammad Aslam, SI Noor Khan and Head Constable Khaliqdad raided a hideoutof the PO in KPK and arrested Abdul Khalil s/o Abdul Majeed. It is to be noted that accused Abdul Khalil a few months ago had killed his father in-law Muhammad Riaz and injured his wife Nasira Bibi when both were asleep.
