Punjab government continues relief work in Jhang and Chiniot

Lahore- Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed the authorities to shift people likely to be affected by floods to safer places and ensure provision of food to them.
He was chairing a meeting of Cabinet Committee for Flood Relief in Lahore. The committee reviewed the flow of water in rivers, as well as the rescue and relief activities in the province. The Chief Minister said the provision of financial assistance to the heirs of the deceased would be completed at the earliest. He directed to send more helicopters and boats to Jhang and Chiniot. He said all necessary steps would be taken to protect Jhang city from flood.
Four truckloads of relief goods have been sent for flood hit people in district Jhang. Provincial Minister for Zakat and Usher assured that the relief work will continue till complete restoration of flood hit people. He said that the Punjab government is mobilizing all resources for provision of relief to flood victims in the province.
