PESHAWAR - Activist of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Haji Shahid Noor on Wednesday announced to quit party membership and along with family members join the PML-Q.
Speaking at a news conference here at press club, he also announced to contest elections from the PK-2 from the PML-Q platform. On this occasion, the PML-Q Provincial General Secretary Intikab Chamkani and Dr Shaukat were also present.
Shahid Noor said that he was affiliated with the PML-N as a member of provincial council and former divisional president youth wing. He lamented that the PML-N leadership totally had ignored ideological workers in awarding party tickets and bestowed upon blue-eyed.
He also alleged that the PML-N distributed tickets on the basis of favouritism and nepotism. “There was no room for honest and ideological workers in the PML-N and only the interests of influential were safeguarded,” he added. He also criticised the Jamiate Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) for their anti-workers policies. “Now I have principally decided to join the PML-Q as a worker and will contest election on the party ticket from the PK-2,” Noor maintained.
