SHO, SI among 25 cops booked for thrashing lawyers

The Hafizabad Saddr Police have registered a case against City Police SHO Tanveer Ahmad Nut, Sub-Inspector Muzammil, ASI Ejaz and 22 unidentified policemen on the charge of allegedly torturing six lawyers including Advocate Zafar Tarar.
According to the FIR, the clash between police and lawyers occurred on Saturday at Judicial Complex when Advocate Zafar Tarar visited the judicial lockup to consult an under-trial prisoner. There was free of all between the lawyers and the policemen as they beaten up each other with clubs as a result of which six lawyers and three cops were injured.
However, no case could be registered so far against any lawyer for injuring the policemen.
Mandela paid glowing tribute: The death of Nelson Mandela was widely condoled by the local intellectuals and lawyers and declared him a great freedom fighter of the century.
Former DBA President PM Safdar Kharal, Malik Muhammad Azam, General Secretary Tajmal Raza Chaudhry, Ansar Federation President MH Shaad Ansari and score of others paid glowing tributes to Late Nelson Mandela. They praised his journey from a prisoner to the President of South Africa embodying the promise that a human beings and a nation can be changed for the better. They reminded the leaders of underdeveloped countries that they should draw inspiration from his untiring struggle during his life time for purpose, hope, freedom, genuine democracy and equality for his country and the world.
