Rickshaw driver shot dead in Pindi

RAWALPINID: A 32-year-old rickshaw driver was shot dead over family dispute on Monday within the limits of the Police Station Pirwadhai. The deceased was identified as Zareef son of Zar Khanm hails from Hazara Colony.
According to police, Zareef was plying his rickshaw in Pirwadhai area when he was attacked by a man loaded with a 30 bore pistol at 4pm. The killer opened fire on him as a result he died, police said. After committing crime, the attacker managed to escape from the scene. The dead body was moved to DHQ for post mortem. Station House Officer (SHO) Ishtiaq Cheema, when contacted, confirmed the incident, saying the motive behind the murder was old enmity. He said that so far police have not lodged a murder case as the heirs were in hospital where doctors were conducting the post mortem of the dead body. "The heirs knew who killed Zareef and will file application after burial rituals," he said.–Staff Reporter
