An Anti-Terrorism Court in Quetta rejected bail plea filed by former president Pervez Musharraf in a case pertaining to veteran Baloch politician Nawaz Akbar Bughti’s murder in 2006 army operation.
ATC judge Ismail Baloch heard the case wherein Musharraf’s counsel Advocate Muhammad Ilyas filed a plea seeking the former army chief’s bail in the case.
The court rejected the application over Mushrraf’s non-appearance.
On Monday, the ATC judge Abdul Samad Lasi heard the case and issued arrest warrants for Musharraf, Shaukat Aziz and Owais Ghani in the murder case.
Musharraf has already been put under house arrest at his Chak Shahzad farmhouse as the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has approved his trial in the sub-jail in a case pertaining to the detention of Supreme Court judges during 2007 emergency imposed by him.
