OUR STAFF REPORTER JHANG - Five people including two women were killed in separate incidents in different areas of Jhang during last 24 hours. In the first highly tragic incident, three cousins Kamran Khalid, Waqas Arshad and Muhammad Usman, residents of Mohalla Gharh of Gojra, arrived Trimonu Head Works to take bath in the river. Unfortunately, all the three cousins drowned in the deep water and despite hectic efforts, the staff members of Trimonu Head Works and other visitors could not save their lives. Kamran Khalid and Muhammad Usman were the students of first year while Waqas Arshad was an Engineering student. Rescue 1122 personnel reached the spot and after hectic efforts of 3 hours succeeded to recover the dead bodies and handed over them to their heirs. In the other incident, Muhammad Farooq, a resident of Mouza Dubkalan of Atharan Hazari, shot dead his sister Hasina. In the third incident, Naseem wife of Imam Bakhsh, a resident of Mauza Murad of Qadarpur, was murdered by some unknown person(s) when she was working in her cotton field.
