BISE Sahiwal turns a nightmare

PAKPATTAN - The newly established Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Sahiwal has been adding to the problems of local students instead of facilitating them.
Last year, the Punjab government established a new board in the province but no full time chairman has yet been appointed to head the Board.
An additional charge of chairman has been assigned to the Gujranwala BISE chairman, who makes occasional visits and spends most of his time in Gujranwala Board. Due to the absence of the board chairman, the staff and officials show no seriousness and most of them remain absent.
Punjab Boards Committee has announced the dates to collect admission forms for annual exams of matric but the Sahiwal Board has failed to provide forms to the students through banks.
Students are facing problem in this regard and express their concern that if forms were not provided in due dates they will have to pay extra fee.
Further when candidates, teachers or parents go to the Board office for getting any information, they are not treated well and officials concerned do not provide proper information.
Students, teachers and parents have demanded the Punjab government and the Education Department to appoint a full time chairman to conduct the annual exams transparently and avoid any untoward situation.
