Abid lauds KP govt for power sector improvement

PESHAWAR - Minister of the State for Water and Power, Abid Sher Ali has lauded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government for making improvement in power sector.
Talking to media persons at Governor House in Peshawar on Wednesday, he said that due to committed efforts of the provincial government there was significant decline in line losses and power theft.
Abid said remarkable increase in recovery of power dues had also been witnessed in the province. He thanked the KP government for making visible progress in this regard.
He said that construction of Dasu Dam after successful nuclear tests was the biggest achievement of PML-N government. The dam will be inaugurated in November this year, he added.
The state minister said the prime minister had allocated huge amount for improving electricity system in the KP, which will ultimately lead to reduction in load-shedding in the province.
