5 bodies of missing persons recovered

QUETTA - Five more decomposed bodies of Baloch political workers were found from Panjgour and Quetta towns of Balochistan on Wednesday. Baloch National Front has given a complete shutter-down and wheel-jam strike in Balochistan on Thursday (today) against the killing of innocent Baloch. The sources said that local people spotted bodies which were dumped near Newan nullah a mountainous area of Panjgour and informed police which rushed to the area and moved the bodies to local hospital for autopsy where they were identified as Agha Abdi Shah Baloch, former Chairman Baloch Students Organisation (BSO-Azad), Safeer Baloch former district organiser Baloch National Movement and Sattar Baloch Chairman Government District Teachers Association Panjgour and leader of Balochistan National Party (BNP-Awami). Sources said that all three bodies were badly decomposed and were hit with bullets. They said that bodies were beyond recognition while their hands and feet were tied from behind with ropes. Sources said that Agha Abid Shah Baloch, Safeer Baloch and Abdul Sattar Baloch were abducted allegedly by security personnel and government agencies from District Headquarters Hospital Panjgour on August 15, 2010. Police sources said that the relatives of victims identified bodies through their shoes and other belongings. Hospital sources said that the bodies were about four weeks old. A complete shutter-down strike was observed in Panjgour town after the recovery of bodies of Baloch political workers. arlier, the mother of Agha Abid Shah in an interview with The Nation had made a passionate appeal to judiciary and government for safe recovery of her son. She was observing hunger-strike outside Quetta Press Club when she was informed about the recovery of decomposed body of her son. In another incident, a decomposed body was found from Quetta within the precincts of Shalkot police station Quetta. Police said that local people spotted body lying at Sardar Karez area and informed police upon which they rushed to the site and shifted the body to Bolan Medical Complex Hospital for autopsy where he was identified as Tariq Kareem, resident of Basima. Hospital sources said that the body was bearing bullet wounds and torture marks. Similarly, a bullet-riddled body was recovered from Khuzdar, some 360km away from the provincial capital. Police said that they found body from Rabia Road and shifted it to hospital for autopsy where he was identified as Muhammad Jan, resident of Khuzdar. Sources said that the victim received bullets in his head and there were also signs and marks of tortures in his face and other parts of body. The hand and feet of victim were also tied. Muhammad Jan was abduct on April 17, 2011. Police handed over body to heirs after completing legal formalities and started further investigations.
