Pakistan condemns Afghan border shelling

Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani on Monday expressed deep concern over unprovoked border shelling by the Afghan forces last evening killing four civilians.
The Foreign Secretary conveyed to the Afghan Ambassador the condemnation of the Government of Pakistan over the attacks, which he said, were unhelpful and unproductive, and would only vitiate the conducive environment that Pakistan was trying to create for the promotion of peace and stability in the region.
He strongly urged the Afghan Government to take appropriate measures to prevent recurrence of similar incidents in future.
