Eradication of terrorism a must, come what may

PESHAWAR – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar said on Thursday that attackers of Malala Yousufzai were identified and efforts were on to arrest and take stern action against them. Talking to media persons at Governor House after attending Khatm-e-Quran and Dua held for an early recovery of injured peace activist Malala Yousufzai, who was shot by unidentified armed men when she was on her way along with students from her school to home on Tuesday. The governor said the law enforcement agencies were active to arrest the attackers and there was too much progress in this regard. He added that the attackers had been identified and they would be arrested soon after getting their complete information. It is a big incident, as it is an attack on a civilization and on women, because an innocent peace complainer has been attacked because she has been backing peace and has been working for promotion of education, he said. “We think it is an attack on Pakistani women.”The whole nation stands with the national institutions against militants, for which credit goes to President Asif Ali Zardari and the present government. He said it was the PPP government, which took a bold decision to fight against terrorism. He said the two-time premier Benazir Bhutto, who raised voice against terrorism bravely, was also the terrorism victim. “The brutal acts of militants will not deter us, as the government has firmly decided to eliminate terrorism from the country come what may,” Masood Kauser said. Terrorism is a big challenge, because it has rooted for the last several decades in the region. However, the security forces fought against it boldly, due to which, they have succeeded to end it to a great extent, KPK Governor added.The participants of the Khatm-e-Quran vehemently condemned the lethal attack on the girl students and said that they were the daughters of the nation. The tragic incident, they added, shocked them all and they are here today to convey sincere feelings and express solidarity on behalf of the people of their respective provinces.” We all stand together and we would never allow any such cruel mindsets to play with future of our children,” they remarked.
