US seeks enduring strategic and clearly defined ties with Pak: Victoria Nuland

United States says it seeks an enduring, strategic and more clearly defined relationship with Pakistan and looks forward to discussing the policy recommendations of Parliament with the government.
In a Statement, US State department spokesperson Victoria Nuland said: "We have seen that the Pakistani parliament has approved its Guidelines for Revised Terms of Engagement with USA/NATO/ISAF and General Foreign Policy.”
She said the US wants a clearly defined relationship with Pakistan, adding that Washington respects the Pakistan parliament's approval of guidelines on engagement with USA and others.
"We respect the seriousness with which parliament’s review of U.S.-Pakistan relations has been conducted," Nuland said.
US-Pakistan ties were under strain of late over various terrorism and its fight related issues, including US drone attacks inside Pakistan and an air strike last November that killed many Pakistani soldiers.
