PTI to award 25pc tickets to youth: Qureshi


MULTAN - Former foreign minister and vice chairman of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi declared on Friday that his party would grant 25 percent of total electoral tickets to the youth.
Addressing the participants of a corner meeting here in Shah Rukan-e-Alam area, he added that his party wanted to bring forth new, honest and determined faces and therefore the party leadership had decided allocation of at least 25 percent tickets for the youth. “That’s why over 90 per cent of total national youth has joined PTI and I assure you that they’ll be the future leadership of this country,” he added.
He said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf did not believe in family heritage politics as it was the only ideological revolutionary political outfit in the country. He claimed that the masses had made up their mind to support the PTI. “They know that it is only the PTI that can bring about the revolution the country needs at this point,” he added.
Referring to his personal politics, he said that he always did his job honestly. He said that he had no lust for power, adding that he would not have rejected ministry had he been interested in power politics.
He said that his opponents had no agenda for the development of the area while he came to NA-150 for initiating a new era of progress. He said that his opponents lost their wits after seeing his popularity. Meanwhile, Patron of Anjuman Tajran D-Market Shah Rukn-e-Alam Malik Ghulam Hussain, President Israrul Haq Dogar and others also spoke on the occasion and promised to support Makhdoom Shah Mehmood.
Later on, former union nazim Sheikh Sohail Sajid, many former councillors and their supports announced to join PTI.
