PPP, N towing US agenda, says Fazl

LAHORE JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman Wednesday termed the war in Afghanistan as jihad and said it was in accordance with the international law. The Afghans have every right to defend their motherland, belief and Islam, he added. Criticising Pope Benedict for his demand to repeal the blasphemy law, Fazl said late Salmaan Taseer had committed blasphemy by calling the 295-C as black law. In an exclusive interview with Waqt News, he accused the PML-N and the PPP of implementing the US agenda and said the US Central Command in a report presented to Washington had warned that in case Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari decided to part ways, the ongoing war of terror would no more be in the control of Pakistani president. He said if the countrys security agencies chose to stop the war on the western borders, they could do so but the US was trying to find justifications to stay in Afghanistan.
