Charsadda property dispute leaves 5 dead

CHARSADDA - At least five persons were killed and a woman sustained injuries when two rival groups exchanged fire over a property dispute here on Sunday.
According to details, two groups hailing from Tarangzai locality traded fire over property dispute. The exchange of fire started around 10:00am and resultantly five persons were killed and one woman sustained injuries. Three persons who were killed from one group are Alef Khan and his two sons Mustafa Kamal and Ali Khan, while Sameen wife of Noor Khan sustained injuries. Two persons from another group killed were identified as Sahib Shah and his son Wajid Khan.
Police reached the spot soon after the incident. All the dead bodies were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital Charsadda. According to police nobody has been arrested. Both the rival groups have registered their separate FIRs and police have started investigation.
29 SUSPECTED OUTLAWS HELD
Staff Reporter from Peshawar adds: Peshawar Police claimed to have arrested some 29 suspected outlaws during a crackdown against criminal elements in the provincial capital on Sunday.
Police officials said that police carried out an operation in the outskirts of Peshawar during which they raided dens of drug peddlers and criminals. At least 29 suspects were arrested with arms and drugs.
NATO BLOCKAGE CONTINUES
Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) and its allied parties on Sunday continued blockade of Nato supplies for the 51st consecutive day in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Led by the PTI MPA Fazli Elahi Khan, the party workers gathered at Hayatabad Toll Plaza and joined sit-in. They also staged protest demonstration against the US drone strikes. They also chanted slogans against Nato supplies.
Speakers on this occasion said that PTI workers proved how much true patriotic they were, adding that they would continue blockade of thee supplies until the US government stops drone strikes on Pakistan. They expressed sorrow that the federal government was not interested in stopping drone attacks and that’s why it is playing the role of a silent spectator, adding that blockade of Nato supplies needed a courage and that had been shown by the PTI and its workers.
The PTI has been blocking Nato supplies routes in Peshawar, Dera Ismail Khan, Kohat, Peshawar and Nowshera districts since November 23.
