October 12 coup wounds will take long to heal: Shahbaz

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the wounds inflicted by October 12, 1999 on Pakistan will take a lot of time to heal. According to a handout, the CM in a statement Tuesday said that the future of Pakistan was linked with democracy, however, the PML-N could not allow corruption, nepotism and contempt of court in the name of democracy. He said he believed that Pervez Musharraf was the last dictator in the history of Pakistan as the nation on the basis of its long experience, was determined to safeguard the democratic system. Shahbaz also paid tributes to the workers of PML-N, journalists, intellectuals and the people who faced atrocities during the Musharraf regime for upholding truth.
