Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz held a meeting with Indian External Affairs minister Salman Khursheed in Bishkak on the sidelines of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation meeting.
They discussed bilateral issues‚ ways to defuse tension on Line of Control and dialogue process between the two countries. They also discussed proposed meeting of the prime ministers of two countries in New York later this month.
Sources said that the two top foreign affairs leaders of Pakistan and India exchanged views on matters of mutual interests, especially on the upcoming meeting of the prime ministers of the two countries in New York.
Later, Indian External Minister, Salman Khurshid talking to media said that matters including the Line of Control (LoC) situation came under discussion. He said that the views were also exchanged on post Mumbai attack developments in this meeting.
