Babar Awan seeks restoration of his suspended legal practitioner license

Islamabad- Former law minister and Senator Babar Awan has filed a petition in the Supreme Court (SC) seeking restoration of his suspended legal practitioner license.
Babar Awan has taken a plea in his petition that legal practice is his profession and he supports his family by earning through this profession. He said he is suffering financially because of it. His practitioner license was suspended two years back. He has tendered an unqualified apology to SC in the contempt of court case but this case has not been decided so far. Former Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had ordered the suspension of Babar Awan’s license on January 5, 2012 for contempt of court.
