Police prepare initial report of ANP leader’s killing

PESHAWAR - Police have prepared an initial report into the assassination of Awami National Party (ANP) leader Mian Mushtaq who was gunned down in Peshawar’s outskirts on Sunday along with his driver and a colleague.
According to police, two snipers fired 10 shots on the vehicle of Mian Mushtaq using 9 mm and 30-bore pistols. Mian Mushtaq’s vehicle was fired at Mashokhel area when he was on his way to Peshawar. 
Police sources said that investigations are being carried out from different angles, keeping in view the factor of militancy, terrorism and old enmities. No group has so far claimed the responsibility for the killings.
