ISLAMABAD- The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) today reduced the electricity rates by one rupee and 88 paisas per unit.
According to a notification issued by the power regulator, the reduction in tariff was necessitated by lower oil prices in the international market. The prices of furnace oil observed a reduction of 6,173 rupee per ton in the month of April, 2014. In unit one of Jamshoro Power Company, one rupee 63 paisa reduced in prices while one rupee and 88 paisas per unit were reduced in plant two, three and four. The relief will be adjusted in the fuel adjustment.
