HUNZA - A portion of under construction bridge between Karakoram Highway and Hussainabad in Gilgit collapsed on Tuesday. The construction of the bridge was underway for the last eight months and local administration failed to complete construction in the stipulate period. The construction of the RCC bridge was in final stages but a part of it collapsed before completion. The locals alleged that substandard material was used in the construction of the RCC bridge.
