bannu : Unidentified miscreants lobbed a hand grenade at a house in Pirba Khel area of Bannu district, killing a minor girl and wounding 30 others attending an engagement party, police officials said.  Tribal elder Malik Liaquat Ali Khan had thrown a party to celebrate the engagements of his two sons.
Celebrations were going on and guests and the family were dancing to the music when the grenade went off, wounding 31 people, among them three minors.
The injured were rushed to Khalifa Gulnawaz Teaching Hospital, where three-month-old Ujala old succumbed to her burn injuries.
A case has been registered against the unidentified attackers in the Domail Police Station. Investigation is underway.
