ISLAMABAD - The PML-N government Sunday strengthened its political position in Sindh province by inducting two leaders Ameer Bux Bhutto as Advisor and Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh as his Special Assistant to the Prime Minister.
The move pleases two important political allies of the PML-N in Sindh, including Sardar Mumtaz Bhutto as well as Pir Pagaro, chief of PML-F ostensibly in a bid to give free hand to prime minister to promote party’s interest in provincial assembly as well as Sindh Province.
According to official notification, President Mamnoon Hussain on the advice of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif appointed Ameer Bux Bhutto, Advisor to the Prime Minister with the status of a federal minister.
A notification issued by the Cabinet Division said, “In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 93 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the President on the advice of the Prime Minister, has been pleased to appoint with immediate effect, Ameer Bux Bhutto, as advisor to the Prime Minister, with the status of Federal Minister.”
Likewise, Pm Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has appointed Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh as his Special Assistant with the status of Minister of State. According to a notification of the Cabinet Division, the prime minister in terms of rule 4 (6) of the Rules of Business, 1973 read with serial number 1A of Schedule-V-A of the said Rules, has appointed Imitiaz Ahmed Shaikh, MPA as Special Assistant.
