At least one man was killed and seven others were injured as a bomb exploded in Jamrud area of Khyber Agency in northwestern tribal region, officials said on Wednesday.
The political agent said that the blast occurred in Wazir Dand area near a market. The sources said that the explosives were planted in a motorcycle. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital. Security force rushed to the scene soon after the blast occurred and cordon off the area for search operation. Bomb blast and other violence incidents increased in recent days in Khyber Agency, where hundreds of people have been killed.
