KARACHI - Advisor to Chief Minister on Information, Jameel Ahmed Soomro has contradicted the reports of declaring educational degree of MNA Faryal Talpur as suspicious. Speaking at Press conference at Karachi Press Club on Wednesday evening, Jameel Soomro said that Sindh University has also verified the MA degree of Faryal Talpur. He, flanked with PPP Karachi Division President Najmi Alam, General Secretary of Karachi Division Saeed Ghani, Advisor to CM Rashid Rabbani and Waqar Mehdi, claimed that that electronic media was airing unverified reports against the Faryals educational degree. He was of the view that journalists had started media trial of MNA Faryal Talpur regarding her degree and warned that media should not disseminate information without verification; otherwise Sindh government would be compelled to table resolution against biased reporting of a section of media. He also showed the degree of Faryal Talpur, verified by Sindh University. He demanded that educational degrees could be real or fake, but how it could be suspicious; Higher Education Commission should tender apology of declaring suspicious of Talpurs degree. He said that PPP supports the actions against the fake degree-holder parliamentarians, but media should avoid creating disinformation.
