Avoid exploiting Malala issue for political gains

PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakthunkhwa Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Barrister Arshad Abdullah Sunday said that terrorist attack on national peace award winner, Malala Yousufzai, saddened the entire world as she struggled for peace and education.  He urged the politicians to refrain from getting advantage out of the issue. He said Malala Yousufzai is an ambassador of peace, education and hope as she made constant efforts for spreading rays of girls education during testing time in Swat. However, he said some elements are getting political advantage from the terrorists’ attack on Malala Yousufzai and are making unsuccessful efforts to divert attention of masses.
He said Malala Yousufzai had paid a heavy price for the country’s peace and education adding she was identity of Pakistan. He said getting political advantage from her sacrifices would serve no purpose but would expose faces of such elements will strengthen hands of extremists forces. He said we as nation should openly condemned attack on Malala Yousufzai. The minister expressed these views while addressing party workers at Ameerabad Koroona Rajar Charsadda district. He said no party could match the sacrifice given by ANP during war against terrorism. He said attack on the ‘princess of Swat’ could not down the moral of security forces and our efforts against terrorism and militancy will continue till elimination of the last terrorist from the soil. He appealed to people to stand united to uproot the menace of terrorism and militancy once and for all, adding terrorism could only be defeated by making constant struggle with one direction and approach. He said Malala Yousufzai had proved to world that Pakhtuns were a peaceful nation and wanted peace in the world.
Meanwhile, Khyber Pakthunkhwa Senior Minister, Bashir Ahmed Bilour said on Sunday that key suspect in the brutal terrorist attack on national peace award winner, Malala Yusafzai and two other students would soon be arrested. “The circle of investigation in the case has been expended and the culprits would be brought to book soon,” he said while talking to media here. He said 50 to 60 suspected persons have been arrested by Swat police in connection with the case. To a question about possible North Waziristan Agency operation, he said every decision in this regard should be taken with extreme care and thoughts.
