SHIKARPUR - Pakistan People’s Party MNA Aftab Shahban Mirani has said that every man has democratic right to express his views but no one would be allowed to take law in his hands which caused law and order problems and damage to the democratic values and harms peace and tranquillity in the country.
While talking to media on the occasion of distribution of wheelchairs and tricycles to the disabled persons here at Red Crescent house on Sunday, he said that the Pakistan People’s Party was the only national political party of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto who rendered the sacrifices of their lives for the restoration of real people’s democratic system in order to provide democratic rights to the people.
He said the PPP leadership had tried its level best to improve the socio-economic condition of the people in the past and at present as well.
Replying to a question about political crises developed on the disputed Sindh People’s Local Government Act-2012, Mirani denied making comments on it and said that concerns to the Sindh government. However, he was of opinion that the PPP rulers, leaders of the coalition parties, nationalists and stakeholders should realise their national obligations to resolve issues collectively in the larger interests of the people and solidarity of Sindh which are their national responsibilities.
Mirani distributed five wheelchairs and 25 tricycles donated by Pakistan Baitul Mal to the disabled persons. He informed that 750 disabled and deserving persons were provided financial assistance through bank cheques at the rate of rupees 10,000 to 15,000 each in past by him. The jobs were being provided to the jobless youth despite limited resources.
