Plea for application of Article-6 since March 23, 1956 not rejected by SC: Farogh

ISLAMABAD- Barrister Farogh Nasim, counsel for former president Pervez Musharraf has said the Special Court (SC) has not rejected the plea for conducting hearing against the abrogators of the constitution since 1956.

“The court did not reject the plea for application of article 6 from March 23, 1956. A detailed clarification has been secured from the court on this count”, he said this while talking to journalists outside the SC today. He said that copy of the orders issued by the court had not been provided to him. He also said it is clearly laid down in sub article 2 of article 12 of the constitution that article 6 will be applicable from March, 23, 1956. On the other hand arguments are being offered on such application wherein it is only mentioned that copy of inquiry report of FIA be provided.

Second thing which came before the court related to media, he held. In a column which has been written on the basis of truth in today’s newspaper it has been told that documents of FIA are classified documents and the newspapers have given report after seeing them which is there privilege.  Farogh Nasim said he told the court when these documents have been spread among the people then why the copy of these documents are not being provided to the accused and the court. He went on to say that he placed before the court the third thing that Akram Sheikh did not send the copy of undertaking last night. But Akram Sheikh showed a printed document in the court today that he had mailed document at 2230 hrs last night.
