Police book students under anti-terror act
 
 
 

MARDAN - Local police have registered a case under anti terror act against three students on charges of allegedly destroying peaceful atmosphere of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan(AWKUM), police sources said on Tuesday.
Sources said that Prof Dr Zahoor ul Haq, Registrar Abdul Wali Khan University filed application with the City Police Station.
He stated in the application that three students identified as Jasim, student of Computer Sciences Department of Shankar Campus, Kashif and Walid, ex-students of Computer Sciences Department were giving threats to teachers and created law and order situation in the university.  Police registered case against the  mentioned students under sections 452, 354, 186, 506, 148, 149, 427 and 7ATA.
When TheNation contacted Dr Zahoor ul Haq, he said that the students disgraced the lecturers of the university, forcibly entered the examination hall and tore the examination papers.
