ISLAMABAD - Zamurad Khan, a politician and philanthropist from Rawalpindi, has made the Pakistani nation proud and raised its spirits by taking a bold step, which, of course, was the duty of the police of the federal capital.
The former MNA managed to overpower the gunman and led the high drama to an end in the heart of Islamabad by setting a new example of bravery.
Zamurad, a former PPP MNA and ex-chairman Pakistan Baitul Maal, approached the scene with a firm conviction to grab the heavily armed man, Sikandar, as none of the police force and commandos got forward and could not take a decisive step to end the high drama. The brave politician Zamurad endangered his life as he tried to grab the heavily armed man who was holding his own wife and two children as a human shield for five hours.
“I risked my life just for the nation. I met a dozen of orphan kids before going on a suicide mission. Their prayers were with me. By the grace of Almighty Allah, I have succeeded in my plan,” said Zamurd Khan while talking to media after the drop scene.
