Nawaz greets Modi on India's I-Day

NEW DELHI : Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday greeted his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on India's 68th Independence Day. "Prime Minister Sharif greets Prime Minister Modi on India's Independence Day, wishing prosperity to the people of India," read the statement. A friendly exchange of greetings between the two premiers follows a strong rebuttal by Pakistan when Modi accused Pakistan of being involved in a 'proxy war' against India.
Nawaz Sharif's message was released through a statement by the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi.
