PESHAWAR  – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information, Mian Iftikhar Hussain has said that they are the victims of terrorism in the region and war against terrorism is their own battle.
He expressed these views while addressing a mammoth public gathering at PK 12 Spin Khak area in district Nowshera on Saturday. He said war of terror was their own fight, which they would win by the grace of Allah. Prominent personalities of the area Said Muhammad, Saifur Khan and Salamat Khan along with their families and friends joined ANP on the occasion.
The provincial minister inaugurated bridge completed at a cost of Rs 18 million in Spin Khak area and also laid foundation stone of new building in Government Higher Secondary School Spin Khak.  
Dilating on his views, Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that ANP has always given respect to the workers and those joining it would always be welcome. He said that nation wants us to unite against challenges faced by the country and urged upon the people to vote for the right people in the upcoming general elections.
Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that Bacha Khan and his followers believes in non violence and hoped that people would vote for ANP in the elections in view of the record development work done by the party in the province did not indulge in malpractices in his tenure as provincial minister.
Meanwhile, a meeting of Awami National Party (ANP) Khyber Agency was held here at Bacha Khan Markaz under the headship of district president Shah Hussain Afridi.
A statement from Bacha Khan Markaz on Saturday said that the meeting discussed in detail matters regarding strengthening of the party in Khyber Agency. A twenty-member committee was formed that would make party’s organizations in different ‘tappa jaat’ and tribes of Khyber Agency within 20 days. The meeting decided to make strong efforts for achieving success on both seats of the Agency in next elections. Addressing the meeting, provincial chief of ‘Nangialay Tanzeem’, Imran Afridi assured the participants that stern efforts would be made in Khyber Agency to achieve thumping majority on both seats of the constituency adding that the party would organize some magnificent series of programs in next 15 days.
The meeting decided that dissident party workers would be contacted and their grievances and reservations would be removed to bring them back to the party platform. The meeting was also addressed by ANP tehsil Jamrud president, Abdur Razzaq, president tehsil Bara, Sher Asghar, tehsil Landi Kotal’s President Haroon Afridi, Alamgir Afridi and Manzoor Afridi.
