Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and Association of Private Schools Management President Saeed Ahmad has demanded immediate closure of theatres promoting “nudity and immorality”, saying that because of such immoral activities, the number of robbery and theft incidents has also increased in Rahim Yar Khan district.
“Police have completely failed to control crime. Criminal activities like theft, highway robbery and dacoity are being committed repeatedly in broad daylight in the Sadiqabad city and other areas,” he said. The Jamaat-e-Islami leader condemned the promotion of nudity and immorality under the guise of stage plays. He regretted that dacoits were committing broad daylight robberies while the police remain failed to trace the outlaws.
In separate identical complaints submitted to the authorities concerned like Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the Punjab inspector general of police, he said that under the guise of dramas, “partially unclothed” girls present dance performance at stage. Across the district, a number of people remain busy in the immoral activities because of which the law and order situation has also deteriorated, he said.
