QUETTA - Some unidentified persons kidnapped a woman and her two children in Dera Murad Jamali, while a person was gunned down and four others were injured in two separate incidents of firing on Sunday.
As per details, some armed men kidnapped a woman namely Rasheeda Bibi, her 7-year-old son Shahzad and 3-year-old daughter Mahnoor in Dera Murad Jamali or Naseerabad district. Relatives of the victims lodged a case against unknown persons. Police are investigating into the incident. However, no arrest has been made so far in this regard.
Separately, a person was killed and another injured when some armed men attacked them at Bolan Market in Sibi. Resultantly, a person identified as Abdul Qudoos was killed and another namely as Rehan Gashgori sustained injuries.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot and shifted the body and injured to hospital for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind the incident couldn’t be ascertained yet. Similarly in Barkhan area, armed men opened fire on trucks that were carrying coal to Punjab. As a result, three drivers were injured in the incident. The local administration shifted the injured to a nearby hospital.
No group claimed responsibility of the attack, however, Baloch militants groups were said to be behind the attack as they previously had hurled threats to drivers to avoid transporting coal to Punjab.
The administration also increased patrolling of Levis personnel on the frontiers of Punjab and Balochistan.
