Nurses demos flay torture on peers in Lahore

Nurses observed strike in governmental hospitals and took out protest rallies against the worst police torture on nurse in Lahore. They, however, continued working in private hospitals.
As per details, the nurses and paramedical staff of DHQ Hospital and other official hospitals observed strike and staged a sit-in against the police torture on nurses’ in Lahore. They expressed solidarity with nurses protesting for the confirmation of their jobs in Lahore. The nurses and paramedics left work even in emergency wards to voice their resentment against the brutality. On the occasion, the participants of the sit-in said that the Punjab government should take stern action against the perpetrators of brutal tortured on innocent nurses. They said that till the fulfilment of their demands their protest would be continued and in further they would observe strike in all private hospitals as well.
Meanwhile, in Toba Tek Singh, nurses at DHQ hospital staged a demonstration to support the demand of their fellow nurses who were staging protest at Lahore, demanding confirmation of their jobs. They were carrying placards, demanding regularisation of service of ad hoc nurses and condemned the torture on the nurses by ladies police.
